The monitor complains about wrong freuqency, which is 59.8kHz/55 Hz and should be 60Hz. After installation of the NVIDIA-binary driver manually (without SAX2), everything works fine (64.8kHz/60Hz). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.clean installation of openSUSE 11.1 2. 3. Actual Results: screen corruption Expected Results: no screen corruption The monitor is detected as SAM SAMSUNG SYNCMASTER. Well, I think I should have omitted this sentence, because I can't provide any further informations or do any test with other NVIDIA-cards at the moment. The only NVIDIA-hardware I can currently test is GeForce 6100/6150. If I understand right, it's not a configuration problem (YaST/SaX). X-server works fine with the binary driver, so the problem should be caused by the NV-driver itself, right ? Is there something else I can do at the moment ? Is there a way to get debug-informations from the NV-driver ? Vendor: pci 0x10de "nVidia Corporation" Device: pci 0x03d0 "GeForce 6100 nForce 430" Fixed for Factory (upcoming openSUSE 11.2) and possibly also SLE11.
