The situation is even worse if someone sets YaST (through zypp.conf) to download the packages first then it won't abort until everything is downloaded. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start installing something where you need to download packages 2.Abort installation/downloading 3. But it should be just a sec or so with aria. For curl, see bug 537883. Lado, how exactly is the abort button click handled? It should just cause that with next report from the media backend, it returns false. .unless aria hangs. The more specific repo::DownloadResolvableReport is not connected to progress reporting, so it does not receive any progress data and due to this isn't able to abort.
