http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1189255 Bug ID: 1189255 Summary: Connection wizard fails to detect network printer Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: screening-team-bugs@suse.de Reporter: devguy.ca@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- I am able to ping my printer over the network and when I login to my router Internet modem, I see the printer listed as an online device. Check no firewall are blocking. However I am unable to setup a working printer using the IP address over the network. I have installed my printer driver (CUPS), I am using a Brothers MFC-J625DW inkjet printer, which works from my Macbook Pro over network. I once had the printer working, but I had to do a fresh reinstall and now I am unable to get the printer working. Scanlite the scanner works perfectly fine over the same IP. Before, for Printer setup the I was able to go to: YaST2 -> Printer -> Printer Configurations -> Add -> "Detect More" My printer would show up and I was able to connect to it, now it doesn't show up. I have tried the Connection Wizard, none of the "Access Network Printer" options work, even when the "Test Connection" report success. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
