But in only one building of my university it just cannot connect. Or if I understand it correctly it doesn't receive IP address by DHCP. In the area, where I try to connect there is only one SSID, but it's being broadcast by multiply access points (or ) on multiple channels with multiple MAC addresses. No encryption is used. I tried to connect manually, and it seemed to be connected. But no IP address was given to my system. I tried to connect manually by setting IP, DNS and gateway from another connection (I rebooted to Windows Vista for this purpose), but network did not work (pinging AP or google.com did not work). The same testing was done on another system (Ubuntu (probably 8.10) and Intel 3945), which connects just fine in other places, but here results were the same as in my system: no AP ping, no Internet connection. At the same time, if I reboot to Windows Vista my notebook connects to the network almost immediately. And the third notebook with openSUSE 10.3 and Broadcom (probably bcm4311) wireless card connects without problems too. And by the way, if it matters: firmware was installed using bcm43xx-fwcutter, so this machine may use Windows drivers. I'll add some logs, but I don't really know what to look for. So I'll try to gather any logs required and run needed tests. Just write what to do.
