I got a new cellphone (nokia 3110c) and want to connect it to the pc. There is an option on the phone to simulate a camera via PictBridge. This way it works on Windows XP without any drivers. I've tested it on Suse 10.3 and a dialog pops out, saying that it has recognized a camera. But after opening Konqueror and waiting some time there is an error: "The process for the camera://usb:001,011 protocol died unexpectedly." I've tested it also on another Suse 10.3 machine with the same result. It works correctly on the following live cd's: KANOTIX 2007 Thorhammer RC7 Kernel 2.6.24 Suse 9.3 Kernel 2.6.11.4 but not on: knoppix (5.2) Kernel 2.6.19 Ubuntu 6.10 Kernel 2.6.17 (error in io-library "could not claim usb device") Here is, what dmesg says: usb 1-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 11 usb 1-2: new device found, idVendor=0421, idProduct=005f usb 1-2: new device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0 usb 1-2: Product: Nokia 3110c usb 1-2: Manufacturer: Nokia usb 1-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
