[Bug 593014] New: Novell VPN configured with NM set's additional (wrong) host route for VPN Gateway
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=593014 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=593014#c0 Summary: Novell VPN configured with NM set's additional (wrong) host route for VPN Gateway Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bili@novell.com ReportedBy: deckel@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- When starting the VPN connection via NM (KDE4 in this case), the following routes appear: 195.92.40.66 via 149.44.171.254 dev wlan0 proto static 195.92.40.66 via 149.44.171.254 dev wlan0 mtu 1436 advmss 1396 195.92.40.66 is the VPN gateway. The second route is correct as it contains the mtu and mss settings to workaround the lower MTU behind DSL connections. This route is also setup when connecting via nvpn or vpnlogin. The first route is wrong as it doesn't contains the mtu and mss settings. I think that because of this route, sometimes connections through the tunnel get stalled because of MTU issues. When the first route gets manually removed after the vpn login, these MTU issues don't appear. AFAIS this route is not setup by the ipalias script but is setup via NM. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
