Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.plug in usb modem--wait for it to initialize to a powered up 'blue' light 2.click on NetworkManager and clock ATT wireless device 3. It looks like ModemManager uses the wrong serial port, dev/ttyUSB0, while the umtsmon example you posted here used /dev/ttyUSB6. Please try to edit /usr/share/hal/fdi/information/10freedesktop/10-modem.fdi file, locate the block that matches your modem (vendor_id 0x1199, product_id 0x6880), and change the serial.port match from 0 to 6. Then restart the machine.
