So, with KDE4 I cannot see my dashboard. To see it I have to move my mouse at the bottom of the screen and the display slide to the bottom but I cannot see the top of my desktop, so I have to move my mouse to the top and so on... So, just move the size of this screen from 18.9" to 19" please. Size is just used for calculation of the DPI value. You're talking about the panning feature of older drivers (not RANDR 1.2 capable). Looks like you've Virtual enabled. According to configuration and Xserver's detection your monitor's native resolution is 1440x900. This value is also used as virtual and default mode, which cannot explain the panning at all. Did you change the resolution with some RANDR tool maybe? What's the output of 'xrandr'?
The only thing I made to make it working is modify the size of this screen from 18.9" to 19" with Sax2. It may have modify something else like the screen size. xrandr output(when it is working): Screen 0: minimum 320 x 240, current 1440 x 900, maximum 1440 x 900 default connected 1440x900+0+0 0mm x 0mm 1440x900 60.0* 75.0 1152x864 75.0 1024x768 75.0 70.0 60.0 800x600 75.0 60.0 56.0 72.0 65.0 640x480 75.0 60.0 73.0 896x672 60.0 832x624 75.0 700x525 75.0 60.0 640x512 75.0 60.0 720x400 70.0 576x432 75.0 512x384 75.0 70.0 60.0 416x312 75.0 400x300 75.0 72.0 60.0 56.0 320x240 75.0 73.0 60.0 I wanted to come back to the 18.9" with sax2 to see if the problem comes back and give you the output of 'xrandr' when there is the problem but 18.9" is no longer available. Any idea on how to come back *with* the problem? It works, but how to fix it for the installation? Where is the problem? Sorry for the late answer but I have free time weekend only... I wanted to switch to the nvidia driver but the purpose of this bug report was to correct that for the installation of openSUSE.
