[Bug 250109] New: The application Ark (ark) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=250109 Summary: The application Ark (ark) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV) Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: djiceman60@hotmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de This backtrace appears to be of no use. This is probably because your packages are built in a way which prevents creation of proper backtraces, or the stack frame was seriously corrupted in the crash. Also, do you run 10.2 packages or something newer from opensuse.org ? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

The steps i took to do this are as follows: I opened Ark Selected File then new Typed in test as the filename Selected Bzip2-ed Tar Archive Clicked on save With the new archive open i dragged and dropped a folder When ark completes compressing the file it will go to opening archive when it throws the signal 11 error. It will create the file archive but with nothing in it nor can you add anything to it making it a useless empty archive. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

I've copied all of /usr into a tar.bz2 file (which was not stored under /usr). worked just fine. I've tried 10.3 (which should be roughly equivalent to KDE:KDE3 on 10.2) and plain 10.2 and both worked. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
