[Bug 1219282] Distorted sound with "AMD Family 17h/19h HD Audio" in some applications, apparently occurring under system heavier load
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1219282 https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1219282#c17 Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |bartoletti.stefano@gmail.co | |m Flags| |needinfo?(bartoletti.stefan | |o@gmail.com) --- Comment #17 from Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.com> --- This might be a side effect of the IOMMU memory management changes. For AMD, it should be possible to use the fallback allocation mechanism with the direct pate allocations (unlike Intel), as far as I know, and this might work better. A TW test kernel with the patch is being built in OBS home:tiwai:bsc1219282 repo. Once after the build finishes, the package will appear at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/tiwai:/bsc1219282/standard/ Please check with it later whether the problem persists. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
