[Bug 895602] New: boot takes too long due to ipv6 dhcp timeout
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=895602 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=895602#c0 Summary: boot takes too long due to ipv6 dhcp timeout Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Factory Version: 201409* Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: wicked-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: lnussel@suse.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- in current factory the system boot takes too long because of wicked.service waiting for dhcpv6 answers that never arrive on every boot. An effect of that can be seen here: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/21228 Boot is not finished therefore gettys take >5s to start because they wait for the system to become idle ie finish booting. In this configuration there is no point for wicked to wait for dhcpv6 on each and every boot. Would it be possible to set dhcpv6 to optional by default so boot is not delayed? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Wicked is not suppose to generate config files in /etc/sysconfig/network. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
