Is that so? When I chose some updates and selected "install", there is little to no UI feedback that the update really is going on: the panel icon only occasionally shows the progress percentage, and clicking on the icon will show the "Available Updates" window with no indication that an update is in progress. Instead an empty packages list is shown.
