https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=737962 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=737962#c0 Summary: During install of 12.1, test of network fails if needs to use Wi-Fi Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: carlos.e.r@opensuse.org QAContact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- During install of 12.1, test of network fails if needs to use Wi-Fi I was installing 12.1 on the test partition of my laptop. After the 1st boot during the install, we are prompted to configure several things, network being one of them. Network in my case has wifi and eth0. I configured wifi completely (if-up mode) and eth was left unconfigured. The installation then proceeded to test network and download the release notes, but it failed because it only tested the cable network, which was not plugged. It did not test the wifi. Further on, when the installation finished, the network was on, via wifi. So the wifi was properly configured (password and all), but not used. I reported a similar issue on 11.4 months ago. The situation is bit better, not much. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
