This would enable a user to quickly create yast2 logs or any other type log out-puts for any bug that requires them. I see the enhancement being a GUI front end under Miscellaneous as follows. Icon Create Error Log File Drop down list of all log subdirectories 1. A drop down list containing all the subdirectory headings under /var/log 2. A browse button to determine compressed log files creation destination. 3. A 'Create Error Log Archive' button. This front end GUI would enable any user to very easily satisfy the Archive Logs attachments that are required for all bug reports that require log information. The drop down list could be something like Apparmour Cups Samba Yast Zypper not to mention all the others and probably SAX Archive logs and the user can determine via a browse box where to create the Archive File redy to be attached to any bug report. I think this enhancement has a huge advantage in the release of 11.2 and especially if a user has to use Yast2 in text mode.

From where I sit this enhancement to Yast should be relatively easy to be included in 11.2 or even online update for current product.
