Which OpenGL screensaver?
I played with flurry and glmatrix, and can reproduce with both. It's not 100% reproducable, but it generally happens in less than 5 tries. You can reproduce this quite easily by selecting the screensaver and running "gnome-screensaver-command -a" a few times, or by just switching to them a few times in gnome-screensaver-preferences.
Which Intel GPU?
lspci tells me: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07) The Xorg also log tells me: [723135.333] (II) intel(0): Integrated Graphics Chipset: Intel(R) GM45
Which X stack?
Not sure what you're asking here. It's all autoconfigured. I'll attach Xorg.0.log.old (it contains the stack trace).

it doesn't crash on my ATI mobility laptop either. So I remove SHIP STOPPER again - we can make an update if we find out what's with quadrapassel on some installations
Neither quadrapassel nor glmatrix crash Xserver? But they do so regularly on my installation [also ATI, using radeon driver]. And on my Intel test machine too, so it is definitely not special to an installation. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Still no success in replicating after 12 S4 suspend cycles.
Vincent, could you downgrade to Mesa 11.3-RC1? If this doesn't help downgrade also to xorg-x11-driver-video-RC1. If this doesn't help either also downgrade to libdrm-RC1.
Where can I easily get the RC1 packages? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I put more patches in my branch: home:vuntz:branches:openSUSE:11.3:Update:Test/xorg-x11-server
But I don't have time to test this before leaving for GUADEC. So I'd appreciate if someone could test the package and checks that it at least keeps the fix for the clutter games, and whether it fixes the issue for gl screensavers.
Let us get this out as an online update quickly. Testing shows that your patches fix the problems, and it is indeed quite a critical bug. Would you do that, please? I have this issue on 11.3 as well when working with Clutter (GL). About one in every 10 times running my Clutter app will bring down Xorg with the same crash.
When will this fix be submitted to openSUSE:11.3:Update?
Depends on the maintenance team. If they are interested that can happen pretty soon I guess. It is released after a short testing period into the normal update channel. You can test it from the the update-test channel.
Thanks. I've tested the version that has been in update-test for over a week now. Results are the same as the one I originally tested a month ago.
