https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=788675 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=788675#c0 Summary: Cannot play MP4 files (MPEG-4 AAC-Decoder, MPEG-4 Video-Decoder fail to install) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: Ulrich.Windl@rz.uni-regensburg.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0 When trying to play an MP4-Video with totem, missing "MPEG-4 AAC-Decoder" and "MPEG-4 Video-Decoder" are suggested to be installed. When agreeing, the selected products are "GStreamer Streaming-Media Plug-Ins" (gstreamer-0_10-plugins-good-0.10.31-3.1.2 (32-bit)" When actually trying to install, an "unknown error" is reported (with the advice to report this!), and the details say: "The packages are already all installed" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Double-click an MP4-file in file manager to launch totem 2. Accept proposal to install additional software Actual Results: No software installed, MP4 cannot be displayed Expected Results: MP4 should be displayed (as in openSUSE 12.1) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
