[Bug 936479] New: software.openSUSE.org returns wrong / incomplete results for Tumbleweed
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=936479 Bug ID: 936479 Summary: software.openSUSE.org returns wrong / incomplete results for Tumbleweed Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Factory Version: 201505* Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: jacobwinski@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- When searching for some packages on software.opensuse.org the results do not reflect the most recent successful build for said package for Tumbleweed. In some cases, the "openSUSE Tumbleweed" distribution is shown as two distinct distributions, having a different version of the searched for package in each. The first is a normal distribution section on top, alongside "openSUSE 13.2", while the second is filed under "Unsupported distributions". EXAMPLES: gimp: Search results: official release 2.8.2 Actual package in repo: 2.8.14 Under "Unsupported distributions": no entry for "official release" smplayer: Search results: KDE:Extra 0.6.9+r3597 Actual package in repo: 14.9.0.6994 Under "Unsupported distributions": KDE:Extra 14.9.0.6994 kdeconnect-kde: Search results: none (no entry at all for Tumbleweed distro!) Actual package in repo (KDE:Extras): 0.8 Under "Unsupported distributions": KDE:Extra 0.8 EXPECTED RESULTS: Every search result should yield: 1) "openSUSE Tumbleweed" category on top (for "supported" distributions) 2) package search result version number should match the currect built package for the given repo NOTE ON FILING THIS BUG: I considered filing this bug under Product:openSUSE.org Component: Software Portal, but was told by the maintainer Benjamin Weber that: 1) "Software portal was something else" and that I should not file against it 2) Benjamin Weber is no longer active re "Software portal" 3) Benjamin Weber is not responsible for software.opensuse.org Since there was no "Other" component under Product:openSUSE.org and this bug is directly related to openSUSE Tumbleweed I decided to just file againt openSUSE Factory. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
