https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=732827 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=732827#c1 --- Comment #1 from Juergen Weigert <jw@suse.com> 2011-11-29 14:47:21 UTC --- investigation results: osc mbranch creates all its branch packages in one project. - for each target distribution, the relevant packagename is formed by appending the target distribution name. E.g. 'freetype.SUSE_SLE-11_Update_Test'. - for all additional specfiles in the package, the corresponding additional packages are created. Freetype2 has freetype2.spec and ft2demos.spec the corresponding packages are created without appending a suffix, despite the misleading error message. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

None of the packages have any build targets in their meta. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=732827 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=732827#c3 Adrian Schröter <adrian@suse.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |WONTFIX --- Comment #3 from Adrian Schröter <adrian@suse.com> 2011-11-29 16:35:44 UTC --- the internal build server has an old and unmaintained code base and can't be updated atm due to SP1. Also the maintenance data is not maintained. So yes, it is known that mbranch can't work internally atm. WONTFIX, since we don't have a LATER atm. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

This script demonstrates what osc mbranch should do. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=732827 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=732827#c5 --- Comment #5 from Adrian Schröter <adrian@suse.com> 2011-11-30 09:16:33 UTC --- just for the record, that script is not doing the right thing. The data has to be based on product data, since it can be that for example the same package is maintained in some cases in SP0, SP1 and SP2. While others are not. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
