I tried changing the settings with: KDE4 Systemsettings With Konsole changing files /etc/modprobe.d/sound and rcalsasound stop/start Effect: 1.Kmenu comes unresponsive (only one Level can be operated) - i cannot go into submenus or logout/shutdown 2. Alt+F2 does not start Krunner anymore 3. Mousebehaviour is erratic 4. Kwin effects are disabled. Only resolution i found so far is restarting X via CTRL+ALT+Backspace (Twice) or restart the PC So far this happen only when changing soundsettings.
