[Bug 164093] Touchpad jumps and "stutters" on Amilo A7640: "psmouse.c: TouchPad at isa0060/serio2/input0 lost sync at byte 1". ACPI EC related?
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=164093 ------- Comment #17 from roeland@linux-it.nl 2006-10-13 09:13 MST ------- it took some time to have all options to be done so far: status: ec_intr=0 boot param -- no help THERMAL_POLLING_FREQUENCY="0" in /etc/sysconfig/powersave/thermal -- no help combination of the two: -- no help. I took out the CONFIG_ACPI_EC out of .config, recompiled (that's why it took so long), (setting it to # CONFIG_ACPI_EC is not set), no help. There is one option left and that's updating the BIOS but that may take some time due to the problem that I don't have windows not DOS at hand. I can have it working OK, if acpi=off bootparam is issued but that directly takes out the USB stack for no apparent reason. normally you see Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 and an USB stick inserted works. but when the acpi=off param is issued it changed to: Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 "Bus 004" is gone and the USB stack is defunct. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
