ehm thats strange ... I *can log in as root* I lost only normal user account .. could you check your root password ? The original 'linux' user is present in /etc/passwd during the 2nd stage, when YaST configuration is being written. This is IMHO wrong, as YaST just sees the user already exists and refuses to add the one with same name. But after the 2nd stage is finished, 'linux' user is removed from /etc/passwd anyway. Who did it and how?
