[Bug 966174] New: File Dependency Collisions on CentOS 6
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=966174 Bug ID: 966174 Summary: File Dependency Collisions on CentOS 6 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Hardware: Other URL: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/network:samba: STABLE OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software Assignee: lmuelle@suse.com Reporter: nick.couchman@seakr.com QA Contact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: Community User Blocker: --- On CentOS6 the libtalloc2, libtdb1, and libtevent0 packages from this repo collide with the built-in packages (libtalloc, libtdb, and libtevent) in a way that causes issues. For example, sssd has dependencies on libtalloc, libtdb, and libtevent. Samba from this repo has dependencies on libtalloc2, libtdb1, and libtevent0. Because both libtalloc2 and libtalloc provide /usr/lib64/libtalloc.so.2, the two packages conflict and both cannot be installed simultaneously - so sssd and Samba cannot be installed simultaneously. Simplest fix would be to make sure that, at least for CentOS6, libtalloc2 provides libtalloc, libtdb1 provides libtdb, and libtevent0 provides libtevent. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
