From openSUSE 13.2 x86_64 (updated to the latest maintenance update), offline upgrade (with DVD image) to Leap 42.1 Beta1 (in VM).
Results: After upgrading, boot to the new system, the network connection failed. Check "YaST > System > Network Settings", it was changed to "Static" rather than keep the old settings (DHCP). Maybe some scripts made the incorrect changes to the configuration when upgrading. Weihua Du. I think this is kind of expected.
Leap use different names for network interfaces than 13.X. That's documented here https://doc.opensuse.org/release-notes/x86_64/openSUSE/Leap/42.1/ #idm140289651648224
So, in my opinion this is not a YaST bug, but a consequence of a change intentionally introduced in Leap.
