The problem is libzypp having trouble executing aria2c itself
just checking-in ... is there, as yet, any update to test for you? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

You don't have xorg-x11 installed, haven't you?
yes, i do zypper se | grep -i xorg | grep ^i ... i | xorg-x11 | X.Org core and sample applications | package ...
The probably easiest workaround for you is creating a symlink: ln -s /usr/bin/aria2c /usr/local/bin
ok, done.
Or at least there's no compat symlink: /usr/bin/X11 -> . on your system.
i already have, ls -al /usr/bin/X11 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 1 2009-02-13 00:40 /usr/bin/X11 -> ./
The substring without a ' ' on the line, takes everything up to, and including, the newline.
i see the problem, tho unclear as to the cause, per above.
fixed in libzypp-5.29.8
best i can find in webpin, atm, is libzypp-5.29.7-2.1.x86_64.rpm @ http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/zypp:/Code11-Branch/openSUSE_11.1 in any case, with your 'workarounds' in place, something still's amiss ... (so i'll reopen the bug, just in case; never sure what to do when we haven't had the opportunity to verify 1st :-/ ) rpm -qa | egrep "libzypp|aria" libzypp-5.25.3-0.1.2 unsetenv ZYPP_ARIA2C zypper clean --all zypper dup ... Might be a different issue. Updating to aria2-1.3.1, I have trouble with the 'uri-selector=adaptative ' line in aria2.conf. If I remove it it works.
