'xemacs --version' yields the following output: XEmacs 21.5 (beta27) "fiddleheads" (+CVS-20060704) [Lucid] (i386-suse-linux, Mule) of Mon Nov 27 2006 on dale The crash should not depend on user specific options in ~/.xemacs as it also happens when the ~/.xemacs directory does not exist. The locale doesn't seem to matter.
