have been working my Medion 95300 for 3 years...10.2 was o.k. Yes. Since 10.3 acpi modules get autoloaded. Depending whether a specific device is declared in the BIOS, the corresponding module gets loaded. Medion seem to have forgotten to declare the device as a battery device... Hmm,

I have been fighting with the console, it's always saying /tmp/acpidump dmidecode >/tmp/dmidecode

Then upload /tmp/acpidump and as a separate attachment /tmp/dmidecode. Dmidecode is valid. dmesg is still missing. Best you do: dmesg >/tmp/dmesg and upload the file /tmp/dmesg as attachement. The same for acpidump acpidump >/tmp/acpidump and upload /tmp/acpidump as attachement. Do not use -c option for dmesg. It clears all messages. It doesn't matter if the output is several kilo byte in size.
