That symlink is intentional, it was added long time ago for compatibility. X related binaries used to be in /usr/bin/X11/ directory and then were moved to /usr/bin/ and this symlink was made: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=223524
Doh, I didn't expect that.
That was year 2006. Maybe it could be removed today.
I will leave decision up you. From my POV, problem has been clarified to me.
On the other hand, I would say clamd should not get confused by such symlinks.
