Trying to resize it by clicking the top left corner ( gimp icon ) of the menu, results in a little hand being displayed otherwise rendering the session completely useless by blocking everything. The blocking behaviour actually can be broken by pressing ESC as I found out by chance. Anyway this needs to be looked into. Files from gutenprint-*/src/gimp2/* are not compiled with $GTK2_CFLAGS, but they have references to gtk2.
