Since it was rolled into the official packages under Plasma 5.5.x, the icons haven't not been working. I use Keepass which only has xembed support. Under 5.4.x: Icon would show up correctly at full size, although semi-pixeled (expected result based up on reading about it) Under 5.5.x: The icon show up, but it is only a few pixels wide in the upper left corner of the space allocated for it. You can still find the active space and interact via the mouse for both left and right clicks.
