https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=217502 Summary: With the up and coming release of VISTA and Open SUSE 10.2- I feel now is the time to capitalise on you Web Presentation Sites Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: i386 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Commercial AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: alpha096@tpg.com.au QAContact: qa@suse.de (QA) forgive me for using bugzilla to pass on a comment to SUSE web design) I could find no reliable vehicle on the website. You can probably just copy the partitioner tool called from YAST onto the disro installation disk. I hope you can see why there were no files to attach nor a screen capture to obtain working with the Installation Mode. Good work Scott NO, I am thinking of automating the suspend hence the parameters to compete vith XP and VISTA. The will need to be a not confirming that suspend does not always work and is hardware dependant as there is now. This automated a suspend function or by HOT key and having the functionality to perform these tasks it should be a minor change The worst thing about someone who is considering moving to Linux is they think they have to purchase New Hardware. In speaking with my senior customers this is the first question. For small Business that do NOT have a File Server - they think they will need one. The hardware requirements on the Open SUSE range are very limited and not very re-assuring from even a straight technical/Sales presentation and should be updates and re-presented better. People want to know If I buy a new PC will it run on Open SUSE 10.x On the business side of town there is also further confusion. Firstly the difference between Open SUSE and SUSE Linux Enterprise and the difference between the two is hard to fathom. The hardware requirements that can be found on the web site are starkly lacking in detail. The last thing an IT Manager or Admin will do is book a call, until their homework is satisfied This is really not your fault. Not to take anything away from Red Hat, but their web site leave you more confused regarding the types of Production versions they have on offerent an what Hardware will you need to buy?????? - Probably none. At the end of the Day - Business, in all the massive reading I do - is not going to take kindly to having to upgrade every graphics card they probably have to a PCIE one and the 512MG RAM recommended for VISTA will be as slow as an executives typing. In the lead up to both the release of 10.2 - OpenSUSE and VISTA I feel it would be very worthwhile ramming it home that your current hardware will probably run quicker, with greater functionality than before at a fraction of the cost. Yes there may need to be small hardware changes - however they are more in-line with scanners and printers who's list of drivers is shocking to say the least - unless you own real HP stuff - your right then. I would love to see you produce stickers sent out with each package "Linux inside" for people to stick on their PC's -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

Beyond that I'm not sure what is being requested of the web team. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
