https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=274087 Summary: io error when detecting ide to usb converter Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: lowks@bytecraft.com.my QAContact: qa@suse.de When i try to connect my ide hdd which is connected via a ide to usb converter it errors out saying : sd 1:0:0:0: SCSI error: return code = 0x10070000 end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 0 sd 1:0:0:0: SCSI error: return code = 0x10070000 end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 0 sd 1:0:0:0: SCSI error: return code = 0x10070000 end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 0 sd 1:0:0:0: SCSI error: return code = 0x10070000 end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 0 when i try to do a fdisk /dev/sda it says that it cannot read superblock. My kernel version is : 2.6.18.8-0.3-default and I am running opensuse-10.2.
