However could not locate and test any One-click option as yet. For tesseract one needs Language rpm packages but they aren't currently not configured right in gscan2pdf. Please keep all the new stuff here so that whiner doesn't send me any post anymore. I try to look this OCR thing next week. You can also try to figure out why it's not working to help me. Page cleaning messes up everything for me. Also load packages for tesseract for you lang! Then OCR and it should work good and then I got also icuneform work. Hence shall get that in place within a week and revert on this. In the meanwhile am studying further on tesseract and cuneiform. Tesseract even managed to detect the multi column layout that my sample junk mail test was laid out in. The quality was so-so which I attribute to the text being in German with Umlauts and not being able to choose the language in the drop down window (4 blank entries). rpm -q tesseract reports that I have tesseract-3.00-5.1.x86_64 installed. I installed the German and English language sets. OCR works for me whether I have "Clean up Images" turned on or off. The editor for the OCR text is a bit strange.
