[Bug 748086] New: RecoveryImage: plain 'mkisofs' may not boot on all systems
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=748086 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=748086#c0 Summary: RecoveryImage: plain 'mkisofs' may not boot on all systems Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Factory Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: ASSIGNED Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: jsmeix@suse.com ReportedBy: jsmeix@suse.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: vpelcak@suse.com Found By: Development Blocker: --- Using plain 'mkisofs' to make a bootable CD may not boot on all systems. On some systems the files needed for the boot have to be located sufficiently near the beginning of the CD. See in 'man mkisofs' the '-sort sort_file' option. Currently RecoveryImage calls mkisofs without the -sort option which uses the built-in defaults of mkisofs. In exceptional cases an explicit sort_file might be needed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

If you have a real failure, please report. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
