During Yast-Network configuration, Yast tries to install that package but fails. Searching on http://software.opensuse.org/search gives http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/suse/noarch/iwl3945-ucode-15.2... as location, but this rpm is not existing. It also seems that the same issue applies to iwl6945-ucode. it is in the "kernel-firmware" RPM in 11.3, this package should be installed.
I tried to configure this interface via Yast, which recognized the missing FW and offered to install the iwl3945 rpm, which failed. There is already iwl3945-ucode package, but kernel-firmware contains iwlwifi-3945-2.ucode and iwlwifi-4965-2.ucode firmware files. IMHO iwl3945-ucode and iwl4965-ucode rpm packages should be dropped and I can adapt requirement list in YaST. MS7 Both 3945 and 4965 work fine from kernel-firmware. No need for *-ucode rpm. I have checked all Intel firmware. You can drop iwl6000-ucode too. JFYI there is only one new Intel firmware for the 6050 wlan adapters not included in the kernel-firmware.
