[Bug 207903] New: No Sound With Suse 10.1 Using Device CM8738/C3DX PCI
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=207903 Summary: No Sound With Suse 10.1 Using Device CM8738/C3DX PCI Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound AssignedTo: tiwai@novell.com ReportedBy: diprob@yahoo.com QAContact: qa@suse.de I am running 10.1 in parallel with an Suse 9.3 Installation. With Suse 9.3 sound works fine. With Suse 10.1 I was not able to get any sound out of my speakers. The error looks similar to bug 127738 (Suse 10.0) however none of the described work arounds made any difference. Installation with yast does not show any error message however the test button does not deliver any sound. I tried alsaconf and alsamixer as well. Messages show succesful restart of the sound driver but there wasn`t any success either.
