https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=462619 Summary: Yast2 software manager: wrong codepage for strings in solver info window with locale pl_PL.UTF8 Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: nobange@poczta.onet.pl QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Other This is easy to reproduce: start Yast2 with following command: "LC_ALL=pl_PL.UTF8 /sbin/yast2 sw_single &" (yast2-trans-pl package must be installed), then go to Yast2 > Software manager, pick any package, right click on it and choose "Pokaż informacje o zależnościach" (Show solver information). In the window showed, you'll see strange characters or just squares instead of polish letters (ą, ę, ó, ł, ń, ż, ś, ź, ć). This happens with Qt interface, don't have Gnome installed to test it with Gtk interface.
