Is validation by shim disabled? "mokutil --sb-state".
It is apparently not limited to only this condition.
I'm way out of my technical depth here, but that thread appears to suggest that dual boot machines are at risk because Windows alters the bios / MOK -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
