[Bug 284013] New: Synaptics Touchpad in a Lenovo 3000 n100 unusable while downloading or surfing the internet
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=284013 Summary: Synaptics Touchpad in a Lenovo 3000 n100 unusable while downloading or surfing the internet Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: 32bit OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: cddesjardins@gmail.com QAContact: sndirsch@novell.com When I am trying to update my computer with YAST and it's downloading the repo data, my synaptics touchpad becomes unusable with my mouse either freezing or dashing all over the screen. This also happens with wget or if I am loading a large web site in konqueror or firefox. If I plug in a usb mouse then my problem is solved. Here is the relevant information from xorg.conf and I can provide more detailed information. ------- Comment #1 from cddesjardins@gmail.com 2007-06-14 10:54 MST -------
I did some googling on this and it sounds like it is either a synaptics or a
kernel issue. Here is some more information. The pertinent information is at
the end of dmesg regarding the lost sync.
