https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=483253 Summary: Enhancement:Put current compiled kernel (.rpm) in the /pub/opensuse/update/11.1/xxxx/ synchronized with http://kernel.org/ Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: doiggl@velocitynet.com.au QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.8.1.19) Gecko/20081213 SUSE/1.1.14-1.1 SeaMonkey/1.1.14 Enhancement request. Is it possible to include the current compiled kernel(.rpm) in the /pub/opensuse/update/11.1/xxxx/ synchronized against the latest stable version of the Linux kernel on http://kernel.org/ I ask because the OpenSUSE kernel may be at a lower release than what is on http://kernel.org/ keeping it in sync would be useful, The individual may choose to update there own system. Question: If that option is not possible, where do I find the kernel compiled from the latest stable version of the Linux kernel on http://kernel.org/ ? I was hoping to get the .rpm based on the current released kernel in this case its the released 2.6.28.7 series from http://kernel.org/ ,not the 2.6.29-rcX ones.
The right repository is http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/Vanilla/ However it is not 100% up to date(now only 2.6.27 is available). We are sorry but this is all we can provide at this moment. Thank you. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
