http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=559130 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=559130#c0 Summary: Language selection not configurable Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: WebYaST AssignedTo: kkaempf@novell.com ReportedBy: visnov@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Development Blocker: --- The WebYaST frontend selects the language based on the browser preferred language. This is not ideal: Use Case: appliance is english only - when I access it with browser preferring SK, I will get the texts in WebYaST in Slovak and there is no way to influence this except to delete all translations from the package Situation gets more critical if language selection module is not included. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

( It is already prepared, just we don't have any configuration for webclient) Also if we use YAML we should share somehow yaml library which is implemented by duncan in rest-service. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

No, I mean, it should be possible to turn off using browser preferred language.
I don't implement it, it is feature of ruby-gettext integration to rails, so it is not so easy to disable it. But out library filter out browser language to supported one, so if vendor set its own languages selection, then appliance is not shown in another language. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
