[Bug 593024] New: Novell VPN configured with NM: resolv.conf changed by dnsupdate AND by NM
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=593024 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=593024#c0 Summary: Novell VPN configured with NM: resolv.conf changed by dnsupdate AND by NM Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bili@novell.com ReportedBy: deckel@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- When starting the VPN connection via NM (KDE4 in this case), /etc/resolv.conf is changed twice. It seems as if dnsupdate changes the file first. Shortly after that, NM tries to change the file again. I belive the underlying problem is that the check wether NM is used to start the connection (in the dnsupdate script) fails. NO_SET_DNS should by != 0 if VPN is started by NM. But in my case it is 0. Thus, dnsupdate changes resolv.conf as well. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
