In fact the bug was that this was not failing until dracut-059, fixed upstream by: https://github.com/dracutdevs/dracut/commit/d2f6f445

I can't reproduce this behavior. I've set INITRD_MODULES to the same string you used, and I have dracut-059+suse.639.g49307b2a-1.1.x86_64.

What do I need to do in order to see dracut fail here?
