[Bug 806515] New: Alt-F2 then #<command> now opens Seamonkey instead of man page
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=806515 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=806515#c0 Summary: Alt-F2 then #<command> now opens Seamonkey instead of man page Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: james.knott@rogers.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0 For many years, when accessing man, I'd press Alt-F2 and then enter #<command> to get the man page for a command. Recently, this has started opening Seamonkey, which does not provide the man info. The same problem happens with ## for info. If I open Konqueror, I can then enter #<command> for the URL and the appropriate man page is displayed. My default browser is Firefox. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Press Alt-F2 2.Enter #<command> 3.Konqueror should open with the man page. Actual Results: Instead of Konqueror opening and displaying the man page, Seamonkey opens to a blank page. Expected Results: Konqueror should open to the desired man page. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Also, man:<command> and man:/<command> also do not work. All open Seamonkey. Also, this happens on both the computer I have 12.2 installed on. However, it still works properly on a 12.1 system. Also, when I try to use this on 12.2, as soon as I enter the #, the text "Go to man:/" appears below the URL box, even though Seamonkey starts. If I'm not mistaken, it's Krunner that's suppose to handle this and selecting Run from the menu also behaves the same way. Is there some configuration for Krunner that might affect this? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The top item in File Associations was Mozilla mailx, with Konqueror 2nd. Moving Konqueror above Mozilla mailx fixes the problem. This fits in with my initial impression the problem occurred with a Seamonkey update. My default browser is Firefox, but it's 8th on the list. tnx jk -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
