I've also tried to manually set showRemainingTime=true in ~/.kde4/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc with no result Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install openSUSE 12.2 with KDE4 on a laptop 2. Click Battery Monitor Plasmoid 3. Because your openSUSE plasmoid is an older version.
