It is a i855 - so I assume it does not make sense to test it? Unfortunately. :-(
Known regressions: i830 and i855 LVDS do not work.
So laptops using i8130/i855 are currently not support at all. Is this correct?
Right. The i830 requires one of a list of external chips; we've written support for a couple of them but haven't gotten anything working. Our last i830 box self-destructed recently and the one we ordered a few weeks ago hasn't arrived yet. The i855 is a bit more confusing; the documentation for the PLLs appears to be inaccurate so we're mis-programming the clocks. That should be fixed in the next RC candidate. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

Anyone who can at least give me a pointer to the mentioned discussion on mesa-dev? I couldn't find it. :-(
I'm not sure, but I think I was referring to http://www.mail-archive.com/mesa3d-dev@lists.sourceforge.net/msg01301.html . Some experiments of mine indicate the caveat isn't the only problem though. Another approach might be to add an entry corresponding to the AIGLX visual on the client side, either in each driver or libGL itself. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Now the warning is: libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x61
Known upstream, cosmetic only, very low priority. (In reply to comment #28 from Stefan Dirsch)

braindead patch
This patch is indeed braindead. It possibly removes a correct warning, because you can't be sure it's the same id always, as this is very much driver dependent. Also, we will never notice when the patch isn't needed any more. We cannot use this. OTOH the patch from Roland looks ok to me. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
