Note that the above uses path and socket activation, there will be no cups daemon running in your system by default, but after systemctl enable cups.service whenever : - an application starts the "printing" dialog, cups will fire up - If there is a job in the queue, cups will start - whenever a printer is turned on or plugged into your system, cups will wake up. In fact it suffices to update cups, cups-client, and cups-libs. They should be made public through the Update repo in the near future. At least for my part, I will switch back to Oss/Update and wait until it will be published by update. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I suggest you to keep using cups from the Printing repo, this change is a little invasive and though it is already present in other released distros (fedora) Im not quite sure if we should push an update with it. that is of course a descision that has to be made by maintenance and the cups maintainer. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

We do not provide package updates for such kind of issues. In particular not when the patch implements major changes how it works. Nevertheless please continue to test cups from its development project "Printing". Cristian Rodríguez and Frederic Crozat, please work together with CUPS upstream to get the patch included in a future CUPS upstream release, see http://www.cups.org/str.php?L3917 and http://www.cups.org/str.php?L3955 -------------------------------------------------------------- the systemd patch bug (STR #3917) which is currently sitting in license limbo... -------------------------------------------------------------- -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
