The boot log shows large number of IO errors on the cdrom device. This suggests that the problem is with the CD, or the reader. Thanks for the logs.
The boot log shows large number of IO errors on the cdrom device. This suggests that the problem is with the CD, or the reader.
Please double check the CD contains the correct complete image, and the CD reader can read it all. e.g. sha1sum /dev/sr0
should complete without error and always return the same value
I will do that later - however the installation had been a network installation and no DVD was involved, so that these error are not relevant. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The hard disk is a "fake" raid 0 that works very well under opensuse 12.2 and previous releases. The y2log is what I needed. It shows that /dev/mapper/nvidia_fajhbfec gets created properly, but then error 3030 occurs because /dev/mapper/nvidia_fajhbfec_part5 doesn't exist - and then I remembered that I'd seen that problem before. There was a change in udev rules for running kpartx so that it didn't create the partitions properly. This issue is being addressed in bug#799274 So this is a duplicate of that. You will need an updated multipath-tools, but it isn't clear what the status of that update is yet. Hopefully that other bug will be updated when there is news. Thanks for the report. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 799274 *** http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=799274 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
