The openSUSE wiki does document how to install the driver (http://en.opensuse.org/Nvidia). This is nothing we can fix, therefore closing as invalid. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Also I've observed during 30+ openSUSE installation (and 50+ Debian, Fedora etc...) on this same machine since Dec '07 that: if there is NO 'kernel-source' installed, Nvidia installer displays the message that you need to install 'kernel-source' / 'kernel-devel' in order to install Nvidia drivers, while it does not displays that or any other message either with this installation. It just says, failed to build kernel module, look Nvidia-installer log file ('/var/log/nvidia-installer.log' ) for details. [in this latest instance Nvidia installer is not showing 'gcc' / 'cc' / 'make' errors either] But if you still think this is not a bug and just error on my part, close this thread once again. Many thanks.
