It is caused by "openSUSE Firefox extensions 1.0.1" extension. If I disable it, all is fine. There isn't anything fiddling with tabs in that extension. I was bitten by the issue even with 4.99 from mozilla alpha or beta (wherever it was) since I updated to 4.99... But not on my factory machine. Only on my 11.4+tumbleweed machine.
