Reproduction in Amarok: 1. Start Amarok 2. Click Playlist 3. Click Add Media 3. When the file dialog opens, click Storage Media in the left column and the error will pop up. Kaffeine reproduction: 1. Open Kaffeine 2. Go to file and select open 3. Today I had it in k3b. I inserted an audio cd in my dvd writer and selected "digitale audio rippen met k3b" in mediamanager, selected the files and started ripping. Meanwhile I inserted a second audio cd in my cd writer and made the same selection in mediamanager. But I didn't start ripping. When the first rip was finished, I wanted to start the ripping of the second cd but k3b now said: "no audio cd found - media manager not running" or sth. The workaround by Brandon Kruse does not work. Strangely, in the folderlist, my dvd-writer is listed, but my cd-writer isn't. When I open dolphin, the audio-cd in the cd-writer isn't found either. The harddisk-led is always on and there is no way to open the tray. Even a restart doesn't help. I have to shutdown completely and open the tray manually.
